FiftyFold

FiftyFold is a non-profit organisation started by Meixi and supported by Aprender con Interés.

The philosophy of la relación tutora (Tutorial Relationships) is based on the premise that everyone has the capacity to learn and teach. This transforms the person, and the classroom.

Visit their site to find resources. Download their free Tutoría Starter Pack for educators, youths and families, as well as their Tutoría Toolkit.

100 Voices

100 Voices is a group of parents in Singapore dedicated to sharing the stories of at least 100 individuals who have shown that academic acumen has little to do with real-life success. Founded by Dean Yap, who is a stay-at-home father of three, along with six others, including World Toilet Organisation founder Jack Sim, Kimberly-Clark associate director Gina Sim, marketing entrepreneur Calvin Soh.

The Thought Collective

The Thought Collective is a group of social enterprises that share the common purpose of building up Singapore’s social and emotional capital.

Among their social enterprises is School of Thought, an experimental tuition centre which researches new approaches to teaching - not just for the sake of helping youths find short-term exam success, but for the longer-term goal of helping them understand, empathise and take care of the world.

Care Singapore

CARE Singapore exists to help vulnerable young people find direction, hope and success. It employs a multi-dimensional approach that engages and empowers youths, schools, families and communities.

Every person is useful and has something positive to contribute. At-risk youths can be social assets instead of social liabilities. By being there for those who need a little more support, we can help change their future.

REACH

REACH (Response, Early intervention and Assessment in Community mental Health) is a mental healthcare service, set up to work closely with schools, voluntary welfare organizations (VWOs), and general practitioners (GPs), to help students with emotional, social and/or behavioural issues within the community.

The REACH team provides help for students with emotional, social, and behavioural issues and disorders. As mental health professionals, we support helping professionals such as school counsellors, general practitioners and voluntary welfare organizations’ social workers to broaden the scope of the care given to students within the community. We have been taking on the role of consultants and external advocates of mental health since 2007 and are still expanding our services across the country.
